It seems that Kitler will be wintering with us, though he is an outdoor cat and will have a heated outdoor house so as not to take away his 'freedumbs'... Inside privileges will be only if life threatening. There are about 30 days a year when it drops below freezing here (hence the heated house), but only a few that get into the 20s or colder (which days we open our garage door with a couple bricks and ask no questions).

They love it when the Christmas decoration boxes come out.

I have no good explanation for why they like to sleep on pine cones or holly but they do

(a younger) Foxy suggests, 'a cat door would not be amiss, like this dog door'

Also, it's the only way for St Nick to get in to this house.

We call this one pic Die Zauberflöte (see Mozart). I knew Zauber meant 'magic' but had to look up the etymology. Apparently the original word was a kind of dye made from ochre used to dye sheep -- perhaps a form of magical protection, to Germanics.

There is a rare English cognate, tiver, rhymes with liver and is both a noun and verb. George is a sheep who's been tivered I guess. 'I'm not orange I'm ochre'
