Hastebin, the Pastebin of the Crust

Any hacker (the good kind and the bad) knows what Pastebin is. It is insanely handy to be able to 'cut and paste' between various computers. Or to put up some text at an anonymous site. Pastebin is of course notorious for this (but nothing so good will last forever).

In fact, back the Old Phora, I explained my samizdat strategy of mixing purls, markdown, and pastebin. But of course I was not so naive as to think we can have nice things forever.

Zooko's Triangle [1] tells me, that of those three things, two (pastebin and purls) are sure to be subverted in the long run. That's ok, and anticipated (by me).

Pastebin, recently, has started to prevent me from posting pastes that have only discussion and links that entirely relate to Latin. Whatever their new censorship algo is it sucks (and this was anticipated as well).. My next strategy uses Hastebin, a nodejs thingy any geek can run for themselves (I'll save my strategy for the rest of Zooko's triangle downthread -- today, we are fixing the Pastebin problem).

For now, the pURL (persistent URL) to https://purl.org/hastebin/ will point to my pastebin replacement. Both pURLs and hastebin servers can be made distributed at will. I'll add this poast to my hastebin server and link it in just a second.

Feel free to use my 'hastebin' ... I have no interest in censoring people, and besides the pURL pointing to a server, the only other moving part is currently an Amazon AWS bucket. Your data won't be lost I think. The whole operation costs in the vicinity of 20 bucks a month to run.

Learn how to use it. Here's a copy of this poast: https://purl.org/hastebin/igucexawer

How to get just raw text: https://purl.org/hastebin/raw/igucexawer

Use it at will. This is the Crust's 'pastebin'.

Copy Pasta is what we do. Feel free to be enabled.
