Do you believe that the CIA practices deception? Might it not be the advantage of the CIA to appear weak? Or more to the point: Might it not be to the advantage of the CIA to appear as true believers in the very things* that they have exported to other countries for the sake of conquering and weakening those countries? It's known that in order to convince many third world countries to do any of the bad things offered to them by Western countries, they have to first see that Westerners are doing the same things themselves, or are demanding the right to do those things.--Bardamu.

(Some of the things I have in mind: transexualism, gay rights; lowering the sperm count i.e. pornography,; lowering the birth rate i.e. feminism, abortion, contraception, putting women in universities and in the workforce instead of encouraging them to be good mothers and wives; covert sterilisation & euthanasia i.e. mass vaccination. How do you get the third world to do any of the things? Answer: you get Westerners to do them.)
I read that somewhere in an article about vaccines, gay rights, and abortion; the article quoted the leaders of third world countries saying that the average person in their society is suspicious that things like abortion and gay rights are just western plots to harm nonwhite societies; so before the people in those countries could be persuaded to adopt any of the above practices (vices), they would need to see that they are awidely accepted in Western society, and demanded by Westerners as a fundamental right.
This was originally a response to Nikephoros, who seemed to think that the CIA are true believers in gay rights and whatnot. Most people wuold agree with him on this.
However, it is the impression that you would be given if I was right in my assertion that the CIA and the US government in general wants the world to believe that they are true believers in these ideologies because they are trying to export them to the middle east, africa, latin america, etc. Why? It's about global population control, obviously.
If my suspicions be correct, then things would appear exactly as they in fact do. So pointing out that they appear really to believe in these things is arguing the case for me.
