    So to explain international communications, we don't need to hypothesise the existence of Arthur C. Clarke's "satellites" falling down towards the earth in an orbit, going in six differerent directions at once, each of them faster than the speed of sound, paralleling the motions of earth as it hurls like a corkscrew through an impossible space vacuum faster than the speed of light.

    I've used "gravity" meaning the force that we all experience, not implying valid any theory meant to explain it.
    All "craters from asteroids" on earth are actually caused by giant methane-filled bubbles that rise up from the depths of the earth and pop when they reach the earth's surface; that's why the 'craters' are always near-perfect circles.
