Yep. I live next to a highway and they are doing construction in the right lane... this happened twice yesterday... accident? Or design? My observational skills are of necessity on high alert today... FIRE... last night ... shelter in place and defend or evac..

Rational humans reporting in... we have your back and uh... some kinda situation here.

You're right ... feels like we are being led into a kill zone with all the fireworks.

Been that way for a long time, as I'm sure you know. And if you start to see all the media stuff as operations, as they are, it gets really kooky. Trying to keep my head level has been quite a chore. I think I'm good, but this PoMo clown world is a real whirling dervish.

sitrep: 1/ the atmosphere known unstable (smoke is going to go up) 2/ it's a grass fire and not a tree fire 3/ second time in one day and faster response time putting it out 4/ crews are on the ground already even if incompetent... My call was pack the car and spray the roof.

ADDED: not on tweeter:

Very much thinking about getting a small electric water pump to drive irrigation (which I need anyway) and in a pinch, shooting the hose a bit higher on that roof ... I offered the neighbours a spray and they didn't say know when the sparks were flying.
