Demographic Collapse... Country By Country

This is a thread for discussing the demographics of specific countries, and their current trajectory (better alternative than 200 threads if we collect them all, pokemon style).

I'm putting it under 'racial dynamics' because for the most part countries have different (and often similar) races, and the pattern of the earth's population is, well, very diverse. Avoiding the cultural nuances of race, ethnicity, and nationhood of course, but we all know that people from different countries can be compared and contrasted both, in various ways.

First up, Greece.



And yes, some of the collapse can be explained by exposure to the nCoV-2019 factor ( a bioweapon) or to the vaxx used to 'fight it' (another bioweapon). But that likes in the realm of 'explanation' rather than 'pure demographics' and also the 'luck' of different countries will vary by genetic factors, as well as existing age demographics, but of which are profoundly affected by the demographics of either weapon.

Whenever I hear about these kind of "population collapses," I recall this passage from the Book of Isaiah, where God tells the prophet frankly that things are going to get a lot worse before they get any better, or that even though God will permit a holy remnant to survive, there will be great devastation:

Another point is that when it comes to skin colour, 'white' involves three genes, and they are fairly easy to get out of breeding as they involve 'adult onset skin pigmentation', which is a neo-natal characteristic (like ability to process milk after infancy, a.k.a. lactose tolerance). A population can evolve such a gene and have it spread to the whole population in no more than a few thousand years.

The deepest shade of black, on the other hand, results from about eight different genes, so it is very easy to get hybrids that 'go Mendel's peas' on you, with a hundred or so different shades, including some that end up 'passing for white' - which is of course what happened in parts of Latin America not to mention Iberia.

Skin colour is, of course, simply the most visible genetic trait however (and related to Vitamin D needs as you point out), and quite obviously stabilises by latitude in the long run. Global Warming might actually make the planet more habitable for the darker races. No one discusses this.

Demograhics involves much more than the global variation in skin colour and its distribution. At a gross level of course it has to do with the viability of the human organism in its environment -- food supply and IQ being the big determinants, along with resistance to disease and the overall health of the population (temporary resistance to famine). In short, the Ecology of being human and carrying capacity of the environment.
