Let's Go to the Bottom of the Titanic in a Tin Can

I dont really feel for the victims on the billionaire sub (except that kid they say really didnt wanna be there), for one they shoulda known better. A little basic research woulda uncovered stuff like the Titan sub being de-rated for depth due to fatigue on the hull, or the open letter from industry leaders denouncing their engineering

Its also a total waste of money. A quarter million ZOGbux to squat in a drain-pipe for the better part of a DAY and view the wreck thru a cumputer screen.

Imagine what that kinda money would do for one normal family, but instead you'd rather sit for 8 hours/day inside something like a sewer-pipe with 5 other poople and one cumputer. Most people would demand at least 20 ZOGBux/hour to endure such a condition, but this is all about billionaire's conspicuous coonsumption and bragging rites etc

The wreckage of the sub will forever be a monument to diversity in engineering.

Apparently the owner of the company was warned about using carbon fiber in the design because its performance over time in high stress cold environments is unknown, but this billionaire tard said damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead.

Compare the brouhaha over this white billionaire death in the deep, a regular sacrifice to the irritable goddess Ran, to the almost complete indifference to the swallowed up migrant craft carry 50+ African men. A little shame is in order.

The Titan disaster is what you get when you mix corporate CEO cost cutting with a Silicon Valley incremental improvement mentality. The owner should have looked for another endeavor that wasn't safety critical. Everywhere you turn, compromises in the name of cutting costs were made. The fired engineer, I figure, was brought on board just to rubber stamp the design decisions and when he refused he was shitcanned. The plexiglass viewing port was rated only for about 8000' dives but used anyway because OceanGate didn't want to pay to design specifically engineered for the planned operating depths. That carbon fiber? Bought on the cheap from Boeing because it was at the end of its shelf life. Destructive testing? Nah too expensive. We'll just throw in random sensors to alert the crew/passengers of their impending doom after it's too late to do anything about critical failures.

So that's it for life on Planet Earth.

The mission to destroy the fire in the Van Allen Radiation belts (how the fuck do things burn in outer space?) that is causing global warming, by lobbing a nuclear weapon at it to put it out, has FAILED.

I say we burn that Thuneberg kid as an offering and prepare to fight Ragnarok.

Oar self-culling Deathversity?

I'm old enough to remember when Usenet had a 'Diversity University' as a distance learning experience for cripples, with its very own Multi-User Dungeon (MUD), Object Oriented style ('MOO'):

1992-2012 R.I.P., and uh, MOO

Teh Early Interwebs were Troll-Naive, though. I hope no Clowns there went on RAPING SPREES.

Object-Oriented Rapes are nothing new. Even under the Sea.

Think of the disparity between intelligence and net worth of billionaires as compared to all other peoples. Fisherman 90 IQ/50k. Accountant 115 IQ/90k, Doctor 135IQ/400k, Billionaire 145IQ/tens of millions a year. The graph leaps. Does money make us stupid? Could that have been the cause of the fall of the Roman Empire?

High IQ poople often make dumb decisions since problem-solving intelligence cant overcome personality faults of being gullible or over-confident
