The future of life in the USA as I see it, 2030-2070

I believe the plan is to deservice and depopulate the suburbs and hinterlands; mass relocation of poople into bugman hives and inner suburbs. Outside of the hive: shortages, utility outages, foreclosures, economic collapse

Bugman hives are the locus of (d) voting power. Resource and service prioritization for the hive. Maximum proximal hive control thru bugman-drone's dependency on system essentials.

'Rogue' industries destroyed: gun manufacturers, oil and gazoline, lumber, others (feel free to add to the list). Import bans or severe strictures on said items;

Lack of availability of PARTS for gazoline-powered vehicles and equipment.

Also I think the shortage of medical supplies will be presented as the "solution" to the health care problem. All bugmen will have free medicare, but it will be useless bcuz supplies will be unavailable.Non-bugmen likely wont even have the useless free medicare, by virtue of not living inside the pleasuredome hive.

Nobody wants to eat bugs rite nao - nor live in the pod - unless theyre some weirdo avant-gharde shitlib. But once real food shortages hit, poople will eager eat the cockroach mash. And because they've been evicted or foreclosed on, they will live in the pod rather than freeze to death outside. This will become normalized.

Outside the hive:

Non-bugman skills revitalized: manual machining, blacksmithing, metallurgy, metal casting.

POACHING. Equipment, fuel and food theft.

Rise of criminal gangs/raiders/extortionists with corrupt, bribed local authorities looking the other way.

Life will not be easy outside of the hive for various reasons, not the least of which is bandits, corrupt sheriffs, and other scum.
