GPS is a hyperbolic radionavigation system based on essentially the same ground-based technologies on which the previous LORAN & DECCA systems had been based. Cellular base station towers triangulate the GPS signals, and ionospheric propagation allows the radio waves to be bounced round. Because it is a ground-based technology, there is no significant risk of interference from solar radiation.*

What can interferere with the signal then? Well, given that your GPS device is merely a very sensitive radio receiver, and the 5G wireless network uses radio signals very close to the GPS frequency, the 5G signals can interfere with the relatively faint radio signals received by the GPS device, resulting in severe degradations in accuracy. The US military is well aware of this.

*This is why GPS works best in highly populated areas, is spotty in rural areas, does not work in deep jungles, & does not work over the southern oceans; for there are many towers in densely populated urban areas, relatively few towers in rural areas, no towers in deep jungles, and no towers in the vacinity of the majority of the southern oceans.
Because GPS is a ground-based tehcnology, it also does not require any of the 20,000+ satellites which are supposedly hurling through space, with the earth, at the speed of 1.3 million miles per hour (while all the galaxies are traveling away from each other at relative velocities exceeding the speed of light due to the supposed expansion of the universe).​
