Your 'Breaking News' Recommendations

This is a difficult and time sensitive topic. As an example, Twitter is hugely important, yet the #BreakingNews tag is so abused as to be useless (at least without further search qualifications).

Google News Reader and similar services were important in the Web 1.0 era, but RSS feeds have been greatly broken in that space since...

Here are a few I still use:

1. The venerable feedly is still useful, and can pick up Crustal RSS no problem (registration required):

I've soured on MSM feeds though the 'raw news sources' (AP News and Reuters) do get some attention. AP tends to be pissy about want you to subscribe etc to see this or that, so I may drop it soon.

2. https://www.inoreader.com/search/feeds/category/top news is good for 'foreign news' a few languages esp. in the New World and with some coverage of Eastern Europe for those who read the languages there.

In the New World, the primary European languages are English, French (esp. in Canada and Haiti), Spanish, and Portuguese (in Brazil and parts of New England). It's good to see Argentina and Brazil covered well, though the omission of Mexico is a drag.

3. On my android, I use 'SmartNews' which is a phone only app but decent.

Other recommendations welcome.

Oh, and here are the news feeds for the Crust XF2 forums:
