You can attach files, and you click on 'Full Image' or 'Thumbnail' -- you have to download first and not hotlink. Hotlinking elsewhere won't work.

This is part of the reason I use kitsap.whigdev.com to quick post images and then hotlink them with IMG tags at Whitespace.

You will be able to link attachments in the upcoming Chat2 shoutbox, but as I said hotlinking won't work outside the side. At least in my experience.

Expanding on this a moment

Theres no need to enforce floodpoasting rules in the chat box anymore *in most cases*, since users dont have to deal with messages they missed going off-screen to be unviewable.

In short, nobody did anything wrong, since poaster in question isnt cramping the box and mod was just following guideline set forth on the old forum.

New forum software has better functionality than old VBullshit
