Forum Ideas and Suggestion box

Expanding on this a moment

Theres no need to enforce floodpoasting rules in the chat box anymore *in most cases*, since users dont have to deal with messages they missed going off-screen to be unviewable.

In short, nobody did anything wrong, since poaster in question isnt cramping the box and mod was just following guideline set forth on the old forum.

New forum software has better functionality than old VBullshit

That's a good approach -- there's also a search function for said archives (up to whenever they are trimmed...), the ability to move to a breakout room, and as mentioned, the ability to mute shoaters ad hoc (which might be a nice upgrade for all shout box members?) LONG LIVE THE SHOAHBOX!

I'd suggest not 'floodpoasting' as a matter of politeness for members rather than something that now needs 'enforcement' by mods or software.

BIG avatars. Not tiny circle ones. Bit and square. But if they have to be circular ones, surely they can be twice the size. Any size increase really. Even 50% bigger if you really like tiny avatars so much. Some of us want to be able to use avatars that can actually stand out.

Another suggestion which just occurred to me. Perhaps it is already implemented, but it appears not to be the case from what I recall. Regarding signatures, I would be best in my opinion if the default preference for all user groups was 'see all signatures'. I think the current default is to keep them hidden.

So if any of us have a signature, most people aren't going to see it, because only a handful people are going to change the preferences from the current default preference (to hide the signatures) to any of the other options.

Signatures are something that 99% of users want to see anyway. Most here are probably not even aware that anyone else any signatures, because most people don't mess with the default preferences. Also one wants lurkers to see the signatures as well. The whole point of the signature is that it be seen often and by many people.
