Liberal and Leftist "Christian" apostates exposed and criticized

Choosing this abhorrent song for his beloved wife's funeral tells us something really unflattering about the faith, or lack thereof, of Jimmy Carter, that famous "left-wing Christian" - as a gesture, this is almost like a confession of crime:

Edit: it is not exactly clear if Jimmy or Rosalynn Carter played a part in choosing this song, but in any case, "people are known by the company they keep":

This greatly resembles the attitude of lukewarm-Laodicean, "respectable" churchians to the Bible or church history; they do not take it truly seriously - whereas genuine fundamentalists DO take the Biblical world and its values seriously, like the Nietzschean Alt Rightists take the Greco-Roman classics seriously, and thus both of them will despise liberal modernity:

Edit: Nike added some details on the shoutbox:

  • Nikephoros II Phokas: Mahtin Loofah Kang picked up extreme theological liberalism on a surface level when he was in college in New England. But then theology to him was only "true" insofar as it was useful.
  • Nikephoros II Phokas: He denied Christ in the pulpit as a way to drive a wedge between his followers and more "docile" black churches whom he then turned around and accused of being Uncle Toms.

The dhimmi Christians, who served their Muslim masters, not only by passively submitting to them, but also often by actively aiding them (and often being lucratively rewarded for their collaboration; not all of them were motivated by simple fear) are one of the most obvious historical precedents for modern "Liberal Christians" who are serving the secularist system.

"Baron of the Taiga" has also come upon this historical analogy; devout Christians living in today's decadent, apostate Western civilization - that used to be called "Christendom" - are now effectively the dhimmis of the Liberal-Leftist secular humanist system:

An absolutely classic example of this phenomenon, or Christian dhimmis serving as cannon fodder of the Progressive cause (like the Uke nationalists are now serving as cannon fodder for the globohomo cause), was of course during the American Civil War when Northern audiences were whipped into semi-religious hysteria by their preachers to crush the Dixie separatists. The Battle Hymn of the Republic school of theology. Back in those days, "Christianity [was] being mobilized and weaponized to advance [the Lincoln] regime interests."

EMJ himself deserves plenty of criticism, but here he is criticizing the politically correct "Trad-Cat" establishment:

Modern "Christian Democrats" are indeed filthy cuckservatives:

But not so long ago, that Christianity of theirs was actually meant to mean something; for example, in the interwar era the Nazis mocked the Catholic Zentrum party (which was the predecessor of the CDU) for their hypocrisy, for failing to uphold their supposed Christian piety when they were ruling Weimar Germany together with liberals and leftists:

There were slogans painted on the walls. For example:
  • Insolent mockery of the Divine under Centrist rule

Generally speaking, the System can allow, with the spirit of contemptuous condescension, their dhimmi Christian subjects to play around with whatever fancy theological constructs they like, but they will not be allowed to apply their theology in the flesh-and-blood physical world that secular Leviathan state is supposed to rule over as the sole sovereign:

This sort of rhetoric is meant to keep Christians firmly on the progressive plantation and as humble subjects of the Liberal Enlightenment project:

The Americanist notion that the US Constitution is divinely inspired (that the Mormons share) is like this concept in its most crudely superstitious form - the idea that Christians are duty-bound to defend the 18th century's most radical egalitarian theories.

But so many naive or misled Yankee Christian recruits did exactly that during the American Civil War!

The American Revolution and the French Revolution in the late 18th century, the twin fountainheads of modern liberal democracy, were treated by their enthusiastic and idolatrous admirers like religious epiphanies, and eventually all too many Christians also began to think, at least semi-consciously, that their faith should be subordinated and moulded according to these "new revelations":

This is like the theological foundation for the "Come on, it's the Current Year!" reflex.
